At 9:28 on August 7, 2022, SCIYON helped the 600MW ultra-supercritical cogeneration unit of Xinhui Shuangshui in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province to successfully pass 168-hour full load trial operation and officially put into commercial operation. During the trial operation, the whole plant integrated fieldbus control system (FCS) provided by SCIYON runs well, and the technical indicators of the unit are excellent.
The 600MW ultra-supercritical cogeneration project of Xinhui Shuangshui "on large pressure and small pressure" uses the most advanced ultra-supercritical unit with large capacity and high parameters in China, which is the key power construction project of Guangdong Provincial government. When the project is completed and put into operation, it can realize central heating in the surrounding industrial parks, replace and avoid repeated construction of small and medium-sized boilers with high energy consumption and high pollution, give full play to the advantages of industrial clusters and synergy, and contribute to ecological environment protection and industrial greening transformation and upgrading.

Smart navigation -- Fieldbus (FCS)
Fieldbus (FCS) technology is like "information high-speed", is a digital, twoway transmission, multi-branch structure of the communication network connecting the field intelligent equipment and automation system. Xinhui Shuangshui project adopts the whole plant integrated fieldbus control system, the bus coverage rate exceeds 50%, covering the main plant unit, public system and auxiliary network system, which provides important support for the efficient and intelligent operation of the power plant.
High Efficiency Cooperation -- Automatic Control (ATC)
Thermal stress is one of the main causes of equipment damage during turbine start-up. SCIYON equipped the automatic control system ATC for Xinhui Double hydropower plant. The concept of temperature margin was introduced in the control process of ATC, and the thermal stress was characterized by detecting the temperature difference of typical parts of the turbine, and the thermal stress was monitored and controlled in real time. In this way, the life loss of steam turbine can be reduced, the service life can be extended, and the steam turbine can be started safely and quickly to meet the practical needs of frequent start and stop of the peaking unit.
One-click command -- Automatic start and stop (APS)
The automatic start/Stop control system (APS) is a symbol of the high degree of automation in power plants. SCIYON implements the APS function of the unit selfstart/stop system for the dual hydropower plant deployment. Each control loop of the unit is in an automatic state during the start-stop process, which greatly reduces the risks caused by human subjective wrong judgment and misoperation, improves the intrinsic safety of the unit start-stop process, and reduces the work intensity of the operator.
